Versions with different Control Range
The TM134 M/S EQ comes with a standard boost/cut range of +/- 8 dB. Custom
versions with ranges up to 20 dB are possible.
Fully parametric EQ Bands
Apart from the sweep range of the center frequency, the four fully
parametric bands are identical
Mode Switches per Band:
The 3-position mode switches work like this:
S: the particular band affects only the S-Channel
boost enhances the base width in the selected frequency band with minor audible
eq side effects
M: the particular band affects only the M-Channel boost reduces the
the base width in the selected frequency band; the eq effect is higher than the
effects of the base width reduction
M/S: the particular band affects both M and S channel. A boost in the
S channel is compensated by a matching cut in the M channel and vice versa. With
wide mixes, this mode minimizes the audible eq effect while the effect on the
base width remains constant.
Matrix Options:
With the factory standard, the bypass switch is a hard bypass that disables or
enables the entire module. If the module is used within an M/S processing chain
this would cause a change in the format depending on the bypass switch.
Jumper settings in the module make it possible to alter the function the bypass
switch to 'compressor only'. With this setting, the matrix stage are always on
but the compressor is switches by the bypass switch. The INP-MS and OUT-MS switches
are working in both settings.
